redwood conservation

Only 5% of redwood groves remain standing after extensive logging over a hundred years ago.  Working with oceanographers, atmospheric modelers, social scientists, and the public, we hope to understand how best to conserve the redwoods by anticipating where they can best live in the future.  This project was funded by the NSF SEES program: fogsci.com
