organizing scientists

Measurements of carbonyl sulfide are an emerging tool for understanding photosynthesis.  I organize and facilitate meetings of an international research group of ~80 scientists  to focus our efforts and learn from each others' success. More information can be found at cosanova.org.

Promoting Climate Literacy

In an NSF-funded project, students interacted with foundational ideas in pedagogy for working with informal audiences.  I helped develop and teach this course at UC Berkeley as a collaboration with the Lawrence Hall of Science.
We started teaching a re-vamped version of this course in Spring 2024 at Rutgers University.
Students learn foundational learning science and climate science,
then practice communicating scientific concepts with the general public.
